Jenny's GM1 Journey Bowling Event Makes Local Headlines

The recent bowling benefit made local headlines this week in Orland Prairie and Frankfort Station newspapers. We value our follower's support, and thank all guests who participated. This is the first step of a long journey let's take it together.

Looking ahead to 2016, we are planning to host an annual benefit, and are currently in production for a crowd funding campaign to raise funds for awareness and ongoing research for the cure. Stay tuned for more details!

Blood Brain Barrier Break Through

A key GM1 challenge, among many, is the ability to treat patients with medicine or gene therapy intravenously. The blood-brain barrier in effect prevents the treatment from reaching the brain. Canadian medical "researchers have unlocked a non-invasive way to deliver medication deep into the brain, opening the door to better treatments for brain tumours, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and more."

News like this gives GM1 families hope. Read more in the two articles below:

Bowling Benefit Blast!

Jenny's GM1 Journey would like to thank all of our Guests, Donors, and Volunteers for a very successfully first benefit on Saturday, 11/7/2015 at Orland Bowl! .

Over 200 Guests joined the cause and enjoyed a great fun filled afternoon! With 30 lanes of bowlers knocking down pins, in total a little over 1,000 games of bowling were played by all! WOW!

Guests also enjoyed a wonderful lunch buffet and an afternoon filled with fun activities which included 15 door prizes, 40+ baskets raffled off, delicious homemade turtle candies, and a silent auction where among the 20 items up for auction, one lucky bidder took home a framed team photo of the 2015 NHL Stanley Cup Champion Blackhawks with the Stanley Cup and autographed by the entire team!

Jenny enjoyed meeting everyone who stopped by her lane. She was especially excited when her school mate Sam took on the claw machine and won her a prize!
